Build-A-Word card game

This is a word comprehension card game that’s designedto introduce children to basic beginning rhyming words. Rhyming words are words that sound alike and in most cases spelled alike. Foaming a rhyming word consists of having an ending sound word with several beginning letters in front of the ending sound word creating new words.

Before your child fully understands the what, why, and how of this game; I strongly encourage you to use and introduce these cards as daily flash cards. Using daily flash cards can be a great learning tool toward helping your child listen, think and pronounce; by focusing on each letter sound; instead of focusing on the whole word. Focusing on the letter sound will encourage and improve their vocabulary, while turning your child into a powerful reader and speller.
