At "The Hidden Treasure Collection", we believe that education can be both enriching and enjoyable. Our educational book & game collection is designed to make learning fun for the whole family.

Hi, my name is Latonya Coleman, founder and owner of "The Hidden Treasure Collection", and a compassionate head start educator who believes in the learning through play approach (a stress-free zone).

Play is an important part of a child's learning and growing process physically and emotionally; play allows children to be themselves without the stress or pressure of being right or wrong. Play encourages children to use their imagination, such as dressing up- trying on different hats of lifelong possibilities.

Story time will allow children to focus by using their listening and problem-solving skills. Children will also enhance their vocabulary by learning new words and stimulating their minds by being encouraged to use their imagination.

Children retain more information when they feel comfortable and confident; not feeling judged, criticized or pressured. Children also remember and retain more information when they are experiencing happy moments, documenting accomplishments, or simply anything that sparks their interest or curiosity.
